Northern Shenandoah Valley Drinking Water Testing Clinics - March 2023

Do you have a well, spring, or cistern?

Learn about your water quality through affordable, confidential testing and become empowered to make decisions about system maintenance and water treatment!

The goal of the Virginia Household Water Quality Program is to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with private water supplies.

You can participate in any county (even if it’s not your county of residence), but you must be able to pick up and drop off samples to that location.

To register by mail, complete the form on page 3 of the flyer and return with your payment.  

Week 1
March 12-15, 2023
Frederick County and Page County
      Sample Drop-Off is March 15th                from 7-10 a.m.

How much does it cost? $65 per sample kit. (Discounted Kit: First-time participants or those who have an annual household income of $70,000 or less, can test one sample for $20.  Discounted kits are available as long as funding lasts; awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Additional samples can be tested at $65 per kit.)

When is the deadline? Please register by Thursday, March 9, for Week 1 (Frederick & Page Counties) and by Thursday, March 16, for Week 2 (Clarke, Shenandoah & Warren Counties). After those dates, please call Virginia Cooperative Extension-Frederick County, 540/665-5699, to check on kit availability. Kits are limited!
